I think I may have caused some confusion posting the end of round 3 map. I chose not to post the game file with Anzac’s summary, in doing so I left option to add it off. Instead I posted it after moving the French pieces. Having said that, I can’t understand why you chose to continue with Italy’s 3rd round play and then esstially skip Anzac.
I have been enjoying the game and thank you for playing. If you want to continue or start another I’m game.
-
I’m not sure I follow. I look through the forum thread and see UK3, Italy3, Anzac 3 (post, no file), then the file ending in GRM4 with France 3, stopped @ Germany’s 4th round start, all in the proper order.
The file you posted traces through ANZAC 3 just like normal as well.
Aside from the issue with redoing the German turn it looks like everything is lining out fine.
What am I missing?
-
If you look at the history for both the file above U4 and the GRM4 you will find that Italy’s, Anzac’s, France’s,
and Germany’s turn differ. -
Not Germany’s, there at the beginning of their turn on GRM4.
-
I did some spot checking but could not spot any differences, However, I’m on a mac and can’t multi-instance tripleA, so I’m sure there nuances that I’m not remembering as I load one file then the other
I’m not sure how it could have happened, but I probably just tripped up and just loaded an incorrect file somewhere
Let’s make this easy - since you spotted the difference how about you identify where the game deviated, and we’ll just use that file to roll back to that point?
-
Not really interested in rolling back just for some “nuances”. We can continue from this point forward, but if you ask me the Axis position is unwinnable.
-
you are right, it’s probably an Allies game given the position in China and the raping I received in E.Poland.
Now that I’m getting over the flu I’m becoming more curious about how deviations could have gotten into the files even though the turn order seems to be correct. I’ve got a full day but maybe down the line I’ll load tripleA in parallels and step through them to try to see what you are seeing. A specific example (i.e. J4 in file A has this positioning, J4 in file B has this positioning, etc.) would be helpful for me to see.
If I would have loaded a file from a different game I think that would have been really obvious, same for loading a file out of turn. Mysteries…
Anyhow, I’m good with calling it here. Flip the sides, same scenario? go ahead and kick it off.

Sounds good, I’ll be home in a few hours and will post G1.
-
Scramble? Sea zone 111 & 110.
-
could you start a new threat and post there please?
Continuing with this game# may just cause confusion again - heh

I had some time so I went ahead and created the new PBF thread here

See ya there
