Grendal - if you check the “Notes” section of the game -over on the right hand side bar, and come down a little ways, it says “Rules the engine does not cover, but should.” One of those rules covers sea zones. Technically, while the USA and Japan are at war, USA cannot end its turn there. Please move your ships to an allowed territory.
Also, the battle calculator says you have zero chance of winning the sea battle with or without the fighter. With it, I’m likely to have 5 surviving units. Without it, 6 survivors. With that in mind, going to finish combat. Will save just prior to battle. If you wanted Tact in battle, can re-roll it post combat and adjust casualties on board. As you are in Saudi Arabia and me here…seems silly to hold up game on an item that is unlikely to affect play. That is, if tables were turned, there is NO WAY I would scramble.
