Preview 3: Map, Components, and Units

Has anyone found proper colors to use for custom units for 1914 for each power ? I’ve had no luck finding anything so I try to color match to the best of my abilities but if there was RGB or CMYK info out there it would be awesome for modders.

For those interested the last 3 rounds were played out.

The final score after 6 full rounds was Entente 29 Central Powers 27.

Unfortunately no notes or images taken.

You’d have to make SZ 20 two zones for Constantinople to be able to block movement like Suez.

Same as before except:

All new ground units are placed in the capital.

All new ships are placed in tts with a naval base.

UK can place some units in India (not ships), but we don’t know if there’s a limit to this.

There is no production in Africa, which is why some think its pretty pointless having Africa in the game at all.

My suggested house rule is that any power holding African tt can build a limited number of “Askaris” there on a turn; basically native infantry who must be accompanied at all times by “regular” troops. They cost 2 and fight at -1 on attack and defence (can still be boosted by artillery).
Without them, Africa will have fewer units than tts and see very little action.

Well presently Russia turns into IMPASSABLE after the revolution so just making it neutral is a small step toward reality. The CP can keep going to Moscow if it wants, but that reactivaes Russia as an allied power, conversely, if Russia is almost empty the allies can invade to get to Moscow and turn back the revolution (by fighting their way to the Kremlin)

Otherwise, both van ignore Russia as it sorts out its own internal affairs.
I would go as far as having a die cart you roll each turn to see if/how the revolution ends. Some result rejoining the Allies, some remaining neutral, some trading with the CP, and an option to Join the CPs.

Would probably be 2d6. 6,7, and 8 being “stays neutral roll again next turn”

And no Belarus; Poland borders Moscow.

No Dreadnoughts should ever be built in the game since it takes 3+ years from start to finish. I understand it makes the game unplayable, but accuracy and not fun must be part of the game.

Extrapolating this further all other naval units take 6-8 turns to build. I understand this means that half the game will have empty oceans, but oh well. Accuracy and not fun is whats important.

Limits on how many of one type of unit get built would also presumably be part of Larry’s rules.

If one thing we know is Axis and Allies is a perfect representation of Historical accuracy, and not fun anymore.
