OK - I had rolled - but - no biggie - here is what I did…on my attack I hit enough to kill all but one plane - so I hit enough to kill just the 2 naval units.
On defense, you hit once - with a plane. So…I ended the battle with Japan winning with all attacking ships - cruiser, 2 destroyers and a sub - and re-added the ANZAC planes.
I think it is all in order now…
