Yep - that Yunnan stack can be a pain.

On this line, the old guy could be named:
Axis & Allies 2nd Edition (Classic)
or, to cover all:
Axis & Allies 1st/2nd/3rd Editions (Classic)
Since you don’t see “Classic” anywhere in the box or the manual or anything for real, it fits better between parenthesis (people that don’t know stuff might think it’s not the one, since the one they have is not called “Classic” anywhere, of course).

if you’re Italy and Germany signals Sealion, DON’T take Gibraltar. You simply bomb the base after the operation, after which it cannot be repaired, hampering the USA.

Won many a game this way.  The poison pill is one of my all-time favorites hahaha!

I think the whole bid system might work better as is, if there were an American battleship added to the setup in sea zone #101.

I believe that the celestial energy running from my third eye, through my chakras, and into my dice… allowing me to roll a 1 at will when facing an enemy strategic bomber raiding my factory… can’t be achieved with the automatic random dice roller machine used online.

Going up

A: 8
B: OK, I take it at 8.

The difference with going up is you bid for what the other person will get as the allies. When you go down it is for what you want to take the allies with.
