@Screamer Yes, it’s possible. The only way the fighters could get out would be through Persia (if not still neutral), as they can’t fly over a neutral territory.

@Running-Away Per page 22 of the rulebook, units of another power may be transported only if that power is friendly. Per page 12, the US is not considered to be either friend or enemy to any other power while it remains neutral. Therefore, the US cannot transport units belonging to any other power while it is neutral.

Hm, one way to deal with it, is of course make the theater more interesting.
But our main goal was actually to balance things out, and the idea is to take a few IPC from the Allies to achieve that.

Is there anyone with more experience to give at least a ballpark figure estimate if this sounds about right?

Imo the Austians have only one viable option for its navy and that is an A1 attack on the italien navy. The odds are not the austians favor, but if successfull together with a successfull G1 against the royal navy, the French navy has a tough choice where to go.

I think “stay in port” from Larry means remain within the protection of your “home” SZ. Effectively, the Adriatic is the home port for the Austrian fleet.

No Dreadnoughts should ever be built in the game since it takes 3+ years from start to finish. I understand it makes the game unplayable, but accuracy and not fun must be part of the game.

Extrapolating this further all other naval units take 6-8 turns to build. I understand this means that half the game will have empty oceans, but oh well. Accuracy and not fun is whats important.

Limits on how many of one type of unit get built would also presumably be part of Larry’s rules.

If one thing we know is Axis and Allies is a perfect representation of Historical accuracy, and not fun anymore.
