Just an update on the Support Drive. For various reasons, including slightly lower expenses, I’m not pushing it for 2020. However, 2021 will not be like that so expect an in your face support drive in early January.

Looking forward to seeing which tank icon will be selected for the 2014 badge.

Morning Marc. Can you remember the ones on your profile and tell me what they are please?

You have good telepathic (or is it precogniton?) abilities because that’s exactly what I was doing as you were writing your post. I was looking back at the four annual funding campaign threads to find djensen’s official identification of the tanks he’s used as the badge icons. They are:
2010: German Panther
2011: Russian T-34
2012: US Sherman
2013: Italian M15/42 -
By the way, in his funding post for 2011, djensen said that “For 2012, it will be the US Sherman. I think I only have one more silhouette after that so I’ll have to find somebody to design something for me for 2014+”. That was two years ago, so I imagine he’s been able to get some more icons prepared during that time…but if they’re of any potential use to him, he’s welcome to use (directly or as a staring point for a customized design) the tank silhouettes that I created for my A&A spotter charts. The two tank charts are in Reply #13 of this post:

The images are actual photos of A&A sculpts, photographed in high-contrast lighting and converted to black-and-white to make them look like flat silhouettes. They would need to be flipped left-to-right to make them point in the same direction as the previous tank icons, but that’s easily done.

Thank you. It makes sense that the American one was.a Sherman, but I just could not see it!
I wondered if it was a light tank, like the M5.
I think the turrets all look a little wrong compared to the hulls. -

It also looks as if the Panther is based on the early-model sculpt, not the newer version with the long-barreled gun.
-
I presumed it was a Panther, but again the short barrelled gun did not seem right.
Thanks again for your help.
We will have to wait and see what 2014 brings! -
Wow guys, $1300, that’s amazing and really appreciated!
Early next year there will likely be a dip in advertising revenue because I have to switch Google Adsense accounts and this will be huge in offsetting that, hopefully temporary, drop.

A Japanese tank for 2014 ? :-D
J. 8-)
Or a French one…

How about a Stuka?

As 2014 is the 100th Ann of WW1… And we now have AA1914… why not do the Mark I tank from the game?
Jeremy

yea good idea, a ww1 icon
-
2014 is the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Maybe a tank obstacle silhouette???

Excellent idea. It’s in keeping with the established pattern of using tanks that have been represented by sculpts in official A&A games, and it would mark the centennial anniversary of the start of what’s been called the defining event of the 20th century.
