Yeah, I wish they put the couple of rules not in both books in the global section at the back.
Europe has the straits rule.
Pacific has Kamikaze and China rules.
If you’re aware of that, it isn’t too much of a problem.
Looking at the 2e global (Europe) map I can’t tell if Central US and Ontario are adjacent. That little south western protrusion off of Ottawa is what looks like may make contact with Central US.

I checked the TripleA map and they have a very noticeable connection between Ontario and Central US, but I don’t play that game so I’m unsure if this is the case.

I know it looks a bit confusing, but I’m pretty sure that you don’t count the Great Lakes as a water barrier like a Sea Zone. I guess we are supposed to assume that the Axis would use ferries and/or bridges to cross them.
