In the original Europe game, they had a rule if UK or US planes landed in a Soviet territory with an IC, on the Russian Mobilize Units phase, they could be turned into Russian planes.

I always wondered about something like this.  Considering the equipment lend lease that USA had with USSR I would of thought “gifting” units to Russia should be acheived in someway.  Of course who knows what that would do to balance.  I guess the the Archangel NO is their to represent the Lend-lease activities.

Being able to bring 12 additional Infantry, would have been better for odds of victory for Germany.

But I suppose you are assuming there is only M2 units types available.
I don’t have Triple A Calc, but is it possible that 3 MechInf with 4 Tanks would have been better for Germany’s success?

Main things is that skew is always better and in very specific conditions a few Tanks maybe needed.

Yep, the extra movement is of course a special value, otherwise 9 arty would be the by far most powerful addition to the army :-)

And also yes, a mixture could be the optimum.

Good National Objective, UK making less than italy = something is wrong. Especially since the italian naval is strong, UK is out of position to act, UK won’t see that money till late in the game anyway when it is broke off its ass.

i’d say they’re playing, instead of stacking. good on them.

Makes sense for Japan to take it, of course, but it’s strategically and logistically implausible that they will get the DEI for more than one turn and never again thereafter.

Planes can’t reach everywhere anymore.  The only other ground unit that can move 2 is mech, and it attacks at 1 and artillery can’t keep up.  The only other ground unit that attacks above a 1 is artillery, and it plods along at one territory per round.

Of course tanks are king, and are worth 6 IPC’s…  Can’t believe it was even a discussion.  :-P
