However, you can FIGHT the battles in any order, so while you can’t call off the battles completely, there is a reason to fight certain battles before others, since the outcome can counsel whether you would then press the other attacks, or just fight 1 round and retreat.

nevertheless, strat bombings and then amphibs are first, by rule.

Um…yes it would. That would be a HUGE advantage.  :-o  I think you’re over-thinking it.

we played a game the other week that you could move your capital when captured (not for victory conditions, just for building and production) to any territory you had an IC on, Major if you had it, or choice of minor otherwise.  While it certainly added a different aspect of allowing you to continue to build, it resulted in nations never being defeated.

I’m just a regular Joe who is happy someone identified a need and was willing to do the legwork =)
