@Boldfresh. Am I supposed to do the same strategy for all my axis games? No. I like to mix up my play.

  • 12

    @Cow:

I need to update my J1 russia DOW strategy on my thread. Thing is out of date. sorry for editing some moves. I did non combat during combat trying to follow my thread… then I was like ugh this don’t look right… OH YEAH I GOT TO UPDATE that thread. LOL.

can you give me the link to you strategy thread Cow?  i always heard about it but i’ve never read it.  and i could use a good laugh!!

  • TripleA

You are down 80 income and 700 tuv in Jeffs game, so you feel the need to troll me. :P

  • 12

yeah, jeff’s giving me a beatdown.  which means you should probably forfeit now.

  • TripleA

Why? I am in your head. Messing you up. You can’t stop thinking about me.

Unlike you I am a risk taker. I take my chances against a 15 bid. Trying to perfect something I put off for a long time.

Plus I figure since he is already in a game against a G1/J1 DOW, that I may as well do something different.

  • TripleA

There are lots of viable strategies for the axis in global. I do what I feel like. :)

  • Do I have to select my loss first if a sub hits vs. my cruiser and dest in 106?

In another game they told me this was a triple A mistake and you should get to see your hits and their loss choice first as the defender with no surprise strike.

    Just curious, might be relevant.

    Scramble 97?

  • Sorry about the delay, my newborn is grouchy tonight and I kept forgetting to check the post after combat move box. So then I’d have to start over.

  • I can’t manage the endgame after my good dice the entire game with Boldfresh so don’t be scared of me.

I’m not a math or chess savant either, just read the posts on here.

Look forward to learning some new tricks this game.

If the sub does not have surprise strike you do not have to choose your loss before firing your offense.  Aaa definitely does this wrong.

  • TripleA

You will still get to roll what you selected to lose and detect subs if it is a destroyer. I believe triple a does this right, because even though both sides have dd and sub, you still technically roll subs first.

  • TripleA

    No scramble.

no  you only roll DEFENDING subs first if there is a surprise strike.

  • TripleA

The reason sub rolls always go first is that subs can only kill naval, so it works both ways, attacker sub roll first defender take casualty, defender sub goes attacker take casualties, everything else rolls.

In a casual game you probably roll all at once to speed things up, it is a minor issue… because your losses still get to roll.

We could check the faq for the ruling, because the book is kind of ambiguous on this one.

normally all defenders roll AFTER the attacker.  the ONLY exception is if there are defending subs that are allowed a surprise strike.

you are just wrong Cow.  i’m sorry, i don’t mean to be rude, just stating the facts.  the ONLY TIME a defender will EVER roll before an attacker is if there are defending subs when there is attacking naval without an attacking destroyer.
