Minor factories on capure of territory

Do people see Italy as an Axis minor? I don’t, I know it’s the poorest major power in the game but it’s still a major power. My two cents on this debate is you either take Italy and have it support Germany when it invades USSR or you use Italy as a naval power to keep India and UK from linking up or you can take a more questionable route and try to do both.

I’m in a slow moving game with my cousin right now. It is still the same game from when i first posted this (ie, the first time ive tried a major IC in Romania). It worked like a charm. I just took Moscow on what i THINK is G5, could be G6, with 10 tanks leftover. Italy doesn’t have egypt yet due to the UK being strong, but the Romania major IC will now pump everything down to the middle east and hopefully secure the win.

The Romania Major IC worked well with Japan only declaring war on Russia (he stacked in Amur so I took it out). Right now, because i am terrible with Japan, I’m sort of on the ropes, but I bought myself enough time that i should be able to win on the Europe board.

I moved in with 2 carrier 2 dd bship cruiser 4 fighter.

i used the bship from pacific and cruiser. union africa dd.

after that was easy to get the rest. dd carrier fig. dd carrier fig. dd carrier fig.

also you can sink italy no problem… your air reaches everywhere. :D

also if usa has a small atlantic fleet, may as well chuck it into 97 after merging the two. usually I have something for atlantic… I don’t buy transports with usa anymore in the atlantic. It is all about convoy disruption combined with +15-+19 NO money for russia. getting air into russia… bombers are nice. with bombers you can bomb all the ics, hit germany mech/tanks, pretty much just cheese and be lame is what I do.

I mean this is not aa50 where the most optimal strategy is to double stack uk and usa on france or northwestern europe. it don’t really work out for allies most of the time ESPECIALLY IN LOW LUCK GAMES. There is no way you can get a foothold in time.

Shut em down in 97 is much more realistic followed up with usa air into russia. +15-19 NO for russia from africa. pacific eventually you park in japan to convoy disrupt or trade naval/take islands back in dutch.

check it out if you have enough naval to drop in normandy, those could instead be in 97 doing -10 a round no transports necessary.

-United States card: NOs #1 and #4 the word ‘Sovereignty’ spelled wrong (extra ‘i’)
-UK card: UK (London) operations: the phrase ‘exclusively only’ seems redundant, just ‘exclusively’ would do (same on India card)
-UK card: the word ‘Canadian’ spelled wrong (extra ‘n’)
-Japan card: NO #1 the word ‘resource’ spelled wrong (second ‘s’ instead of a ‘c’)
-ANZAC card: wording of NO #2 seems weird ‘Strategic cornerstone - to far East British Empire’. Does this miss the words ‘Malaya considered’?

Beside these little wording mistakes, they are still great and stick to the latest updates and rules!

While I checked my stuff again I found something but I am not quite sure if there is a benefit when you will change it:

It is not necessary but you could add the (2) for all anti-aircraft gun at DEFENSE… they only occur when Radar is researched…
Fighter Attack (4) when Jet Fighters
Submarines --> Super Submarines (3)
Heavy Bombers Roll 2 Dice (but not easy to show this while not causing confusion)
Etc…

and maybe on the turn sequence to add the polictics move “to declare war”

Just suggestions, no need! As said above, maybe you should leave it like it is… The player should use a Research Board, so that they can see which technology they got… hopefully they do not forget it during the game ;)

You can only place ICs in territories that you controlled at the beginning of your turn.  You would either have to place that Minor IC on another territory worth 2 IPCs or more, or sell it back to the “bank” and buy it next round.  Then you could place it on Egypt, assuming Britain didn’t take it back.

To put it another way, once the battle is over, you no longer have the option of retreating.
