I didn’t submerge your sub at Pearl…I figured you’d want it to absorb hits?
Normally, I usually will just let submerge. This version is a bit different than 42.1, because you get the Destroyer, so the SS can provide an extra hit, but I typically still submerge because I figure that the SS can be useful…especially when I take out one of your destroyers. It’s not a big deal, but in the future, I will submerge at Pearl.
I don’t know why I don’t follow my own advice….I knew attacking Ukraine on Round 2 was stupid but did it anyways. Those 3 tanks are going to cost me big.

I think attackers attack at 1 (including bombers) and defense at 2, then AA’s get a shot at bombers, right?
Rulebook says attacking bombers and escorts fire at 1 and “surviving” defending fighters fire at 2. So if any of my air units get a hit in the air battle , the defender is “immediately removed as a casualty.” My understanding of that is any defenders that may get hit won’t get to fire in the defenders combat sequence.

I knew the AAs, but couldn’t remember who got the 1s, who got the 2s….the remove before defending roll seems out there to me, so with out my rulebook, I sent a board message out. When I get home, I’ll look at it, but will also see what they have to say.
Let’s get a ruling on that. It seems pretty risky to me that defending fighters that get hit by attacking air units won’t get to fire back.
Sounds like it’s immediate…let me think…I need to see the map.
