Board Game of Thrones

Hey Guys,

I saw on Smorey Swamp that Commanders and Tactics WW2 Deck Building Game was played at Gencon. I have been trying to find the game on BGG with no luck. If anyone knows this game and can provide a link that would be awesome.

I also own these, play Russian Campaign first. Thats the best of the group by far. Its easy to learn and balanced

Project Funding Cancelled

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend here in North America with Canada Day and Independance Day having arrived (and just a great weekend otherwise for the rest of the world)!

RETREAT!

It took a lot of deep thought to decide to cancel this projects funding at this point. There were numerous times throughout that I thought I should just cancel and others where I thought it would be best to run out the clock.

With that, and with heavy heart, funding for Into the Black has been cancelled, for now!

Thank you everyone for your support through this process. A lot has been learned and the errors that were made have been noted and will certainly be addressed.

Don’t worry, I’m not giving up on it, not by a long shot!

Cancelling this project is not a bad thing; in fact it’s a start of a new, exciting and better phase of the game!

Plans are already in motion for relaunch, but I’m going to take the time to do it better!

In those plans are things such as looking at ways of reducing the funding goal if possible, adding in some of the stretch goal content as part of the base game, upgrading the tile art and looking deeper into the possibility of miniatures, a play through video, better images of the game, more previews, more advertising, more demoing … more of everything!

John I’m guessing you may have it already, but Battle Cry 150th Anniversary edition is readily available and improves upon the previous edition with almost twice the battle scenarios.

Tolerone77, I have two copies of that one and the original, and it is a great game, but I I wanted one that plays like Napoleon in Europe and this is as close as gets, till HBG produces their new Civil War game.

For me, I often get lost with the sheer mass of cards that are in all the sets of dominion, so I don’t mind just playing with the base. There are enough variations to keep it interesting. I know the feeling though, especially if they make the environment user-friendly or graphically applaudable.

If you want a good Vietnam board game, try out Vietnam 1965-1975.

It is a hex based game, using counters for playing pieces. The game is from the 80’s and you’ll find it on Ebay.

For sure, no game depicts the vietnam war better - with hidden units, ho chi minh infiltration routes.

Beware though, that the Grand Campaign 65-75 takes hundreds and hundreds of hours to play. However, there exist about a dozen smaller scenarios (like the Tet offensive amongst others).
