  • Hmmm… It looks like I screwed up. This is game #6 or #7 that I’ve played with the 2nd edition setup as the Allies. And the first time I’ve noticed that by switching the Yukon to Neutral so we didn’t forget that Yukon+BC is one territory, it negates the British +5 objective! Lol! I’m going to edit it back to British and add +5 IPC to London’s bank.

  • No problem on the misclick - I hate when that happens. When units start overlapping, weird stuff happens. I had one game where my stack on Gibraltar was so big, with three nationalities and pieces of every type represented that they stretched from Gibraltar to S.Italy… It was a bear trying to make sure everybody was where they were supposed to be.  :lol:

  • You fell right into my trap. Put a bunch of expensive units within striking range of the entire Luftwaffe. And watch them all die. I’m still figuring out the “trap” part. I’ve got the dying part down to a science, though.  :lol: Maybe it’s that 50% chance of killing that 3rd German plane that I was hoping for…  :-D

    I had a game where the Germans tried to do too many things on G2 against me, attacked with less than every plane against that Med fleet, and ended up losing like 4-5 planes on the “Reverse Taranto” (as it got dubbed that game) because it lasted 2-3 rounds instead of 1. My opponent was NOT happy.

  • Yeah the luftwaffe counterstrike is the achilles heel of the Taranto raid, plus of course the sealion business.  I like your Tobruk + Taranto = Italy will never set foot in Africa deal. Anyway I did J2 and emailed it.  I left it open and I will try to post it here again later unless you do do allies first.

  • Yeah, I played a game where I couldn’t get Italy off of Africa and they were making as much as Germany. Not a lot of fun being on the sharp end of that stick.

    It’s like the one place on the board where the Allies have the initiative; seems silly to not take advantage of it like the Axis does everywhere else on the map…
