There have been plenty of times where all 6 missed or 1 ship got tubbed.  Some players argue that the kami should be turned off as an easy Axis nerf against their advantage, especially in G41 and G42.

I’d opine that the best effect of the kami is to keep them in your pocket to deter USA attacks, since they are less effective in most actual situations (killing 0-1 ships) than they potentially could be (causing USA to decline to attack because you still have them and he can’t be certain he’ll make odds).

Your planes can only move 4 total. You can’t move the carrier with the planes and then move the planes 4 more.

Actually you can move the carrier 2 and then the plane 4 but the planes and carriers have to be different nationality.

For example. Lets say a USA carrier has 2 ANZAC fighters on it. The carrier can move 2 in USA’s turn and then the planes can move another 4 on ANZAC’s turn.

To be fair, this is why you never ever ever send carriers anywhere without a destroyer. The same problem happens if you send a carrier plus fighters to attack submarines. Since the carrier doesn’t roll attack dice and the fighters can’t hit the submarines, you just have infinite rounds of combat until the subs either sink the carrier or the units retreat.

This is also why it is recommend that when playing the pacific side as either Japan or the US, you purchase at least one sub for every carrier that the other side purchases.

You should also never tip your carriers on defense if you have no where for your planes to land, since the attacker will almost always retreat and watch your planes crash into the ocean for free.

Carrier planes are always defending in the air, no matter what type of units are attacking.

It has to all be done in the same countries turn, because that’s when you have to land your on your carrier.

You only use a movement point when you cross a boundary between spaces.  Taking off from or landing on a carrier does not involve crossing such a boundary because both the carrier and plane are both in the same sea zone.
