Filling Transports and leaving question

Thanks guys. I thought this was the case, but could not easily find what you quoted in the rule book so I wanted to make sure. Sometimes I do get it wrong. (But not often.  :wink:)

My mistake was not sending my two move units to Romania the previous turn as Germany. I just played out turn 9 and US was able to stack Northern Italy. Italy is out of the game now, but on the other side of the board Japan is making 105, and he is bombing Russia with 5 bombers every turn. He has more than UK in the south and he can now start landing in Africa taking the money away from Russia and UK. I do agree that US is going to eventually take Germany, but could he do it before Moscow falls? Probably :/

The Russian NO deals with originally pro-Axis territories, so true neutrals that switch do not count.

Japan sitting off of Hawaii is fine; there is a sea zone between SZ 26 and SZ 10.

No.  USSR may not move into territories outside its own on the Europe map until it is at war with Germany and/or Italy.  Also, it may not move into territories outside its own on the Pacific map until it is at war with Japan.

Regarding flights/landings, are islands still part of the sea zone? Meaning, does it take an aircraft 1 turn to enter the seaszone surrounding the island, or does it get that “for free”?

Islands are separate spaces from the sea zones that they’re in.  It takes a movement point to enter or leave an island.

France is already at war with Germany and Italy when the game starts.  It may declare war on Japan on any of its turns.

Because the 1st team lost their capital and IPCS
second team lost their capital and IPC but first team can’t have any IPC because they don’t have their capital

Would the power that captured the 1st teams capitl get their IPC?

See page 20 AAEurope 1940 second paragraph under the “Capturing and Liberating Capitals” section, last sentence: “You collect these IPCs even if your own capital is in enemy hands.”

No there is a need to roll dice, as subs are ignored and do not result in combat on their enemies turn unless the enemy ship is an unescorted transport. Then the sub gets one shot to try to sink it outside of normal combat, this shot occurs as the transport moves in or through the zone. It is listed separately in the rules and I did not know about it for the longest time in pacific until I read the sub section in the rulebook. Attacking transports are never defenseless as they can always retreat. However this is not an attack, this shot occurs during movement of any type.
