@simon33 If you strafe Moscow again, please ask for intercept - I may do it next time!
Oh sorry, should have left a note. If you want to intercept, we can use forum dice.
You had some bad dice, especially in the first game. Game 2 Although your UK1 was terrible, I did roll quite poorly with Italy while killing the French fleet and failing to kill that cruiser as well as with Japan losing a lot of extra planes (4/4 Chinese on defense, AA rolls). But I dislike getting into too much discussion about dice. I agree that the dice heavily favoured me in game one especially the one big battle. I will also agree that I got a fantastic opener game two.
However I dislike that you after the game say that you put no effort into the game since it was already over. If you feel that way I suggest you either take a huge risk to come back, or just surrender immediately. I put a fair amount of effort into my turns and if you are not playing your best (as you claim) then you are honestly wasting my time.
I have had worse openers than what you had and come back (losing all German planes but 2, doing J1 with the Chinese holding Yunnan and Americans holding Philippines) it can be really challenging and fun to play from behind and makes you have to really evaluate all options.

Had to call this one as he hasn’t responded for awhile. Happy to restart once he returns as it’s nearing the end game and he’s a gentlemanly opponent

I have to say, play has really picked up IMO. Skill level is rising across the board and old hands like me fall by the way side. 8-)

Amazing, I was lucky with the dice numerous times and he still completely crushed me.
Due partly to dumb mistakes from me, but more to his brilliant play.
Much respect to you, sir. It was an honour to play against you, although I fear I was not much competition for you.

Amon-Sul over Degrasse, I liked the Russo-Japanese tank battle in China that stopped me from freeing the sixth VC city for Japan.
Degrasse ALWAYS takes allies
