Sorry, I didn’t need to ask that - I subsequently downloaded the map and looked for myself.
Answer: He had 3 of the money islands and was getting both NO’s and had saved a little money.

Well I hope you learned some valuable lessons, if you lost Japan round 5 and I also see he had taken over Europe by round 10 when it was over…

Dice destroyed this game - it just wasn’t meant to be.

Here’s a sample:
UK1: 3 FTR, TAC, BMB, CA vs Italian TP, SS, DD, CA, 2 FTR

UK only loses 1 fighter (Italian sub survives)

I1: ARM, BMB vs. ART (West France)  ART WINS
G2: 5 INF, 3 ARM vs. 4 INF (Greece) Germans lose 5 INF, 1 ARM
G2: 3 FTR, 4 TAC, 2 BMB vs. DD, 2 CA, CV, 2 FTR (Z93)  Germans lose all but 2 BMB

So the Italians have zero air, and only 1 TP, CA, BB
Germans have only 2 bombers

Hold your head up, Kabloom, and keep on playing.  The dice have to turn your way some time.  Right?

Early Axis naval victories including a perfect, i.e. all hits by Axis none by Allies, German attack on British med fleet resulted in slow Allied decline – not to mention excellent move by Jeff28 to build Italian airbase under German air force for range boost.
