This will cause a serious fall in my rankings… BAH! lol
Will just have to keep on fighting!HEY! :-)
Karl is only 1 step below Tier1! You will only gain 1 point less than if you lost to Allweneed. :-D
What!?!?! My climb back is working?
The sucky thing is I think I used up all my luck against Arathon… he lost like 3 major battles against me. I even let him retract one!
-
BAH! lol
Will just have to keep on fighting!I can tell you have been playing with Karl. This sounds just like him.
You’re the coolest, Karl!
It’s actually funny, but BAH is almost as much of a complaint you’ll get from me usually ;)
And Karl is a great guy. I am thinking about flying out to San Francisco to play him on board… ;)
Anytime… we even have a spare bedroom and a big dinning room table!

Hehe, yup. If you can only IMAGINE the pain… which I am sure you can, having played this for 25 years.
Played OVER 25 years… Had a long hiatus between 1995 and 2004
Had to make sure the marriage was on good footing first…

Hahaha…. Wise man. What does your wife think about all the time you use on this?
I wonder what all of these “A&A Widows” think about our addiction. I am getting married this fall, and my fiancée is already rolling her eyes sometimes over my addiction. She is VERY lenient as far as me taking a few “all day and all night” gaming events, that’s fine. But the constant playing frustrates her… -

She is VERY lenient as far as me taking a few “all day and all night” gaming events, that’s fine. But the constant playing frustrates her…Oh, it will be a sore spot for the rest of our lives… it’s just a matter of how sore
I WILL be gaming as long as I am possibly capable. The more she can accept that, the happier she(we)'ll be…
I always say it’s better than golf or gambling…
But it never helps my caseYou’re on your own, man
Might be a good idea to be up front with her that you’re not going to stop once you get married, so she needs to factor that in. Better to be up front. Don’t make any false promises  -
I’ll be here when I’m 95, kicking some punk teenager’s butt….
Can you imagine, 80 years of A&A experience??
-
Actually, my wife doesn’t mind A&A so much…… usually…
She prefers it over the video games I play (slaying countless monsters, or the WWII FPS games)
There’s no annoying music or sound effects (except that air raid siren is like a warning to A&A wives that it’s starting again - so sometimes you gotta mute that )So yeah, A&A does have a few points in its favor…
But beware! It’s a home-wrecker! :-D
-
(except that air raid siren is like a warning to A&A wives that it’s starting again - so sometimes you gotta mute that )
My wife always gives me the evil eye when she hears that……

Hahaha! After I switched to Mac the siren stopped somehow… it has saved many a day from evil eyes!
-
I know!
it’s like she’s mad I’m frittering away my time and talents instead of working toward becoming Prime Minister of Northern California or something…. :-P

They should start a support group….
They could understand each other
I don’t think it would work to start a thread in the General Discussion area for them… I’m sure they wouldn’t stoop so low as to log in…
My wife could be “Gamerwoman01”
Now THERE’S an idea for a thread. If your wife had an A&A login ID, what would it be?
-
Or husband
Didn’t mean to leave you out, Jenn
Of course, your hubby could be “Cmdr John” or whatever his name is

Karl over Mallery29. The 10000 IPC battle in Egypt goes to Karl!
-
That was a very satisfying game!
2 big showdown battles on both sides of the board for the win. Mallery won 1 and I won 1. Unfortunately, the Axis only had to win 1 to win the game…
GG!
