can opener, I not only miscounted the Italian bomber’s range, but didn’t even realize it WAS a bomber, but eh, whatever, it was fun and we’re just going to move on with game 2.  Note, this was my very first game BACK and of second edition (and of alpha 3…and of tripleA forum play) so don’t expect to get lucky like that ever again.  :evil:

In the second game, Cmdr Jennifer will be granted a bid of 48 for Allies, with a limit of one unit per territory/sea zone

Dang, not sure if that’s hubris or just brass balls. Don’t forget that Jenn will have had several games to get her feet wet and she’ll have learned from her game against Bold.

She asked very nicely if she could have the same bid (48) as she got in the game against Bold. I thought to myself - why not?

I have a new strategy I’m developing with a friend. I’ll give you a 48 bid in a non-league game when I have finished off some of these games I’m currently playing.

In a 100% attack with Japan, Japan loses 14 planes they shouldn’t have lost
In a German airstrike, only 4 out of 19 planes manage to hit, and Karl gets almost 100% hits.
In a 98% attack on London with 8-9 units left, Germany LOSES to Britain.

But Karl also played very well. Always a pleasure to play a gentleman.

This will cause a serious fall in my rankings… BAH! lol
Will just have to keep on fighting!

This was an uncanny game for my dice.  My loss against DIZZ at 98% percent is now paid back, but not against Dizz…. go figure!

Evidently it is working - perhaps I should also start complaining against my generally bad dice - with few, rare exceptions… ;)

or unless you’re on the black list of the dice gods
(these may or may not be mutually exclusive)

Yeah, only problem is you have to be really careful because usually it comes off as bad sportsmanship
