Dude, just the “eyeball test” would tell you it’s totally NOT 98%……
I just use the calc inside Triple A for our battles… and wow, was it close…
-
Huh, well, it sure didn’t come out that way either…
The roll that killed me was missing all my bomers R2. If I had his 2 hits I would have won.
-
FYI, I pm’d you bid for rematch
-
For the record, Bold did an audit of my London battles using trippl a’s calc and it was 89% in my favor.
Sure, less than the 98% DS Kelly said, but still should have been a victory… but NO! The dice just wouldn’t let it happen.
Makes you want to pull out your AA games and puke on them! :-P

Snake11eyes Axis over Karl7
http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=31332.120
Snake built up massive German bomber force. Something I’d never encountered.
However, the game was sadly decided by epically stupid battle in the Caroline islands. The US started its big thrust into the central pacific and invaded the Carolines. But you wouldn’t believe it. Those 2 japanese infantry and AA gun not only shot down 2 planes but killed the landing force. Now that’s bad, but wait, WAIT, they DO IT AGAIN on the second invasion attempt! Jesus! Suffice to say, that set back the allies big time. The US fleet was stuck in the middle of the Pacific without an horbor or airbase… Any hope to crush Japan was delayed several turns, enough for the Axis to run amok.

Just for the record, Snake played like a gentleman. But the dice, god, they were not my friend. I will say I am not sure if I would have won with Snake’s bombers ranging about. But any chance was ruined by the dicing the carolines…. ugh!
-
Shouldn’t you have just asked for a re-roll? gentlemen allow that usually when it’s totally out of proportion.

Many of us are gentlemen AND purists :-)
Allowing re-rolls can get messy… but I can understand that there are situations where it’s a good thing for both parties
Good question!

I don’t think I’ve ever asked for a reroll…. Just not how I play I guess. I like the pain!

See? Purist! :-)

Getting diced sucks, but it’s part of the game. Your only recourse to complain and bitch and try to wear down your opponent so they start being “nice” to you……
