OK, I have made some improvements to the league standings spreadsheet.
Now, as we had last year, we have Axis win pct and Allies win pct by tier (PPG)
Also, individual player’s axis and allies results are presented more clearly, along with individual win pct with axis and with allies.
Analysis:
Overall the Allies have had more wins than the Axis ALL YEAR, BUT -
Tier 1 players are having more success with the AXIS, even more success than last year!
Tier 2 players are having more success with the AXIS than the Allies. MrRoboto singlehandedly skews these results with 20 Allied wins over weaker players (except Stalingradski), but Roboto also has 3 Axis wins over Karl, and Karl favors the Allies (although even Karl has a higher win % with Axis)
Tier 3 players are having the same results with Axis and with Allies.
Tier 4 players are the reason that the Allied win percent is higher than the Axis overall. They are 2-37 with Axis and 4-18 as Allies. Most of the 37 losses were at the hands of tier 1 and tier 2 players, while the average PPG of opponents who gave them the 18 losses as Allies were clearly not as high.
Conclusion:
With current bidding amounts, the Axis still have a significant edge. We are bidding a bit too low as Allies.
