I am thinking of going to G40 next year. I am enjoying the games I am playing, lots of options. Revised, a40, etc…seems to be one dimensional. A40 is better than revised of course but global provides lots of options perhaps it is more balanced? anyways…get to this whenever……
What’s A40?
I don’t know if I can completely make the switch. I’ll continue to dabble with G40 because it is fun, but it is too much for me. Too many turns in a round, too many decisions, too many possibilities for how I like to play. I’ll probably always have 1 game of G40 going and about 3-4 AA50 over the next year, myself…Your comment sounds like a song a lot of players are singing these days though. Lot of talk about switching completely from AA50 to G40. Shame most players aren’t even familiar with the 1942 scenario of AA50… but whatever. There should be plenty of players available for both games, so that’s good.
Looked at the league rules draft put out by Jenn today for 1940 - they are improved a bit from last year so that is good.
Yeah, I don’t think we’re going to finish this one in 2 weeks even if we played a turn a day, so I guess I won’t rush - thanks. Because I’m ready to do something else right now… Time to watch the recorded Cards/Giants game 2!

meant anniversary (A)41 or aa50. G40: it’s all the options I like. always changing. in AA50 it seems every game is similar now. USA goes strong in Pacific, R & G try to take and hold epl……KAR falls to G in rd 2…UK fleet dies in G1…China is useless etc…if all the strong players are trying to do the same thing it comes down to the dice. G40 is a bit more like chess, lots of opening options, at least right now. I mean, w/aa50, you take a look at the purchases for T1, for all sides, and it is generally the same. Perhaps G40 will become the same after a year or so…
