Yeah, I wish they put the couple of rules not in both books in the global section at the back.
Europe has the straits rule.
Pacific has Kamikaze and China rules.
If you’re aware of that, it isn’t too much of a problem.
@Krieghund Can the Chinese Fighter land in the territory it conducted combat in if the combat was successful and the territory is Chinese?
@The-Farmer Nope. All fighters even the Chinese must land in territory that was friendly at the start of the turn.
@The-Farmer @surfer is correct.
@Krieghund @surfer Thanks
I just had a game where France activated Turkey F1
If Russia bought a transport R1 for Ukraine, could they ask France for permission to use the Turkish straights R2 while not at war?
Same answer for Suez R3 if still not at war?
I assume Russian troops on boats doesn’t violate neutrality
@dazedwit Yes, that all works.
@dazedwit I am trying to wrap my head around this. Round 1 France, the 1 French Legionnaire in Syria took on 8 Turkish troops and won? Or did you attack with UK round one and walked in with the Frenchman?
@The-Farmer Most likely Turkey went pro allies after axis attacked a strict neutral like spain or sweden.
I have a question about the chinese fighrer.Like any other fighter in an operational AB,can the chinese scramble?Would it make any difference if it was an anphibious assault against the territory the fighter occupies?
@ampdrive Ah that makes more sense. Thanks.

No, it can’t scramble. See page 10 of the Rulebook.

Seems an insane act.
@simon33 insanely awesome
@simon33 I concur, not advisable.
@dazedwit My thanks go out to Kreig for such prompt responses.As for France activating Turkey,I wound think it be wiser to wait until UK,USSR or even Anzac activates.It’s a great place for an AB or Mic.
On a related matter,I need to ask about Afganistan.Is it part of the Europe or Pacific map?If it goes pro-allies can USSR activate it when at war with only Japan?If UK has activated and both UK and USSR are at war with Japan,can USSR fly air units over Afganistan to land in India?
I suspect answer is “Europe map” based on pg 35 of pacific 40 rulebook,but that section is about W.India and W.Canada specifically.

The Europe map, of course.
If it goes pro-allies can USSR activate it when at war with only Japan?
No.

No.

Correct, but that rule concerns which UK economy those territories belong to. It does not change which map they’re on.
