India bonus - does it go to Japan if Germany captures it

Yeah, the issue is that I would like Ethopia in USSR hands, it is one that is avoidable, like I said, I have seen a USSR marker on it but I wasn’t playing this game so I didn’t see how it came. However, I usually have no problem getting to Somalia, and the northern African territories can be confusing because in my case, UK had Italy on a stalemate front line not pressing so Italy had no reason to assume what I was doing until of course he saw me bring my mech. into Africa.

(Unlike what the others have said, I’m not that much of a friendly kind of guy, but I did genuinely mean the line about welcoming you to the board.)

I was thinking and what about this. This will be better to do if London falls due to Sealion. Anyways here’s my idea. Have the US navy guard the ANZAC’s while they build transports and units (US should still be building mainly in the east though.) The British should send most of their units to Persia, and be building mech infantry to run up to Shan State. Try to make sure the US navy secures the water near Southeast Asia so Japan doesn’t start reinforcing that area with transports. Then after the Japanese attack send some British units west to help against Italy (assuming these will be your last reinforcements for a little bit if the income is gone,) and slow down and weaken the Japanese with the rest (the US should reinforce this water area now.) Once Japan captures India have an Australian force hit of transports and units that should be collecting Dutch islands if possible as well, but still being guarded by the US navy. Then unload and start taking these British territories for themselves and then unload a few dudes to West India, but leave Calcutta alone. This way if ANZAC is getting all the Indonesian islands they will be making an income of 42 IPCS (10 in ANZAC territories, 15 in Indonesia, 7 from other British territories, and 10 from NO’S.) This way ANZAC can start building nice navies to the US can pay more attention to Germany and Italy (hophelly ANZAC can defend it’s territories quick enough though

Japan/Russia has no effect on UK/Anzac relations to Japan.
UK/Anzac can declare war on Japan “when they want” (so to speak)

I would wait a turn and build an IC in a useful place. If you build it in J1, then it will mostly be used against China and perhaps Russia. HK and Singapore are way better options. From Malaya you can be in India in one turn (with fleet), in Australia, all of DEI and back to Japan quite fast. Land units are also quite close to Burma road (Chinese lifeline).

So if you decide to attack the UK on J2 then I would build an IC on J3 in Malaya or Kwantung. If you are going to wait longer then China (and perhaps Russia) may become too much of a pain and you need to transport units to the mainland.

My next game as Japan I will attack UK on J2 in Malaya. It gives you +3, UK -3 and ANZAC NO lost. And it is arguably the best place for an IC. For the attack I need a lot of transports, because I also want to take most of the other prices, like the DEI island, Phillipines and/or Kwantung. This gives your economy a major boost and the UK loses a lot of IPC income. I would also prefer to take DEI island from the UK instead of the Dutch controlled islands. You can take those later and the UK islands work both ways (more for you, less for them).

If you’re going to try this out, make sure Japan tries SOMETHING in S. America J3 to tie up the US for at least a few rounds.  US had like $92 for most of the game, and the Axis dropping the ball in the Atlantic/Med made it WAY too easy for the US to whup up in Europe.  Also, I played Italy like a demented retard, as the Italian BB had some awesome rolling killing TWO separate 95%+ UK attacks, and I also gave up a FREE IC in Egypt TWICE.  Don’t let the True Neutrals distract Italy, especially if you’re lucky enough to have your BB survive UK1!  Take Egypt and build/seize that IC on it!

Also, don’t throw away the German airforce in the Med trying to help the Italians, build a minor IC in Yugo and build subs or your fleet moved in from Gibraltar; I keep telling myself that every game, and every game I end up with just a few planes on the carrier by G3-4.
