the allies cannot win with russia so heavily crushed. The gain in IPC’s for both the axis countries should ensure victory. As germany, take the rest of russia in order to close that theater, even if you lose another West europe germany. After closing that front, focus entirely on GB and take back Europe. You should be able to do this with the gain of IPC’s. Build your navy and keep using the economy to your advantage. Obviously you have more IPC’s than britain, which means you should be able to slowly overrun them. As japan, a navy would serve well to repulse the Americans. BUT make sure you don’t lose japan. So before you build a navy, make sure you have adequate defense on your mainland, and make sure the americans can’t land in Asia (screw Australia, you can take that back, not important) Once you are secure from landings. Use your IPC’s you took from Russia and the Middle east to build a navy that can cleanse your waters. With Both axis focusing on a Navy, you will be able to take the war to their doorstep by giving yourself an offensive fleet that can land troops onto the American continents while forcing the allies to play defensively
Axis biased

No, I did mean Axis should be the inexperienced(newer) player and we who can see things more clearly play the hard pressed Allies therefore balancing the Axis bias.

Sorry. Must have misread it. Seems perfectly clear the 2nd time I read that sentence.

No problem. I thought I was going barmy. Had to read it three times to be sure too!

I would say 42.2 is a very balanced game. Â Who engaged who in that Pac Flt battle? Â Never be the aggressor. Â Especially as the Japanese…let the dirty gringos come to you just pour the troops into Asia and watch Russia fall.

@Mallery. Was a 1941 Naval battle and was my
fault for not checking numbers. We were finishing anyway as my friend had to leave: his mummy wanted him home for supper! -
Well, we all know the axis won ww2, so of course Larry Harris is going to print games where the axis win everytime.

Proof: German engineering for cars and Japan revolutionized a lot of the electronics and video games….

Agreed Axis are overpowered.

LOL Malery Paper Tigers if you ask me. German stuff today is just like it was before. Expensive, complicated, and bad electrical systems with relatively low production. The Japanese can also thank Mac Arthur’s post-war governance for much of it’s production and design feats as well, it was very much inspired by the US and it’s industrial techniques.
As to balance in the game, remember we who post here are A&A nerds and represent a much smaller gaming populace than many who buy the game. Some will get this game from Nanna and it will sit for years. For others this game is but one in a massive collection.
Most of my experience comes from Classic with a rather exclusive gaming group. One member was a HUGE RPG player and fantasy/minis player. Didn’t matter which side he played he always claimed unbalance even with handicaps and favorable HRs. Now I say that with a caveat that I own but haven’t played AA41 yet so I won’t call a judment just yet. I am however cautious with throwing out my “unbalanced” card.

I’m pretty sure it’s allies biased
