Two quick questions…

The UK holds onto the money, until thier capital is liberated.

At which time, they can then spend it on their next turn, or the begginning of thier turn IF an ally of theirs liberated it.

What about the loaded transports - can they be held back or are they forced participate in the sea battle before offloading?

All combat moves are made at the same time and are considered simultaneous for game proposes. So they are forced to participate on the battle as well.

Still a bit unsure as to why I would use Artillery. A 2/2 unit for 4 IPCs versus a 3/3 unit for 5. Artillery may support infantry but Tanks have got 2 move and Blitz, which more or less cancel each other out. Using Artillery as the Soviets to help Infantry take and hold WR or something along there makes sense, but other than that I don’t see why I would ever build them instead of tanks, as I’d have to invest a fairly hefty amount of IPCs to get a significant numerical advantage.

That being said, I’ve only had this game for a day or so, so I’m sure there’s something I could be missing out on.

Okay that will make me think about my plans a bit.

Hey all, quick question.  Let’s say Japan attacks the US with a battleship, carrier, and 2 fighters.  The US defends with a carrier and two fighters.  Turn one the US takes 2 hits and chooses to remove the carrier and a fighter.  If Japan calls off the attack at that point to avoid letting the fighter roll another dice, does the remaining US fighter simply die off as it has no carrier to land on?  Or does it have the option of re-basing somewhere?

The remaining US fighter can move 1 space to land at a friendly territory/island/carrier. It it can’t land then it is destroyed.

If the sub hits the carrier, it will not fire back.  If the sub misses, the carrier will fire back.

i was thinking about that if they kept interceptors at the IC then they couldn’t use them on attack runs against you also, but yes, I believe that they choose between the attack and the SBR for defense as well.  Should they choose to intercept the SBR and then loose the territory, they would have the one move point to find a safe landing zone, such as with carriers being sunk and fighters needing to land…
