Great-looking overlays, and a good reflection of how WWII might have ended if the A-bomb hadn’t been used. The Americans were planning to invade Japan in two stages, with Kyushu as the first stage (Operation Olympic) and Honshu as the second stage (Operation Coronet), and the Soviets had plans to invade Hokkaido. Very nice work.
Using Pacific/Europe Pieces with original board.

A friend and I have been doing this and we find it very interesting. We also use some of the rules, except the Japanese first strike.

How do you incorporate new peices? (destroyers, Artillery etc).
Do you add them to force pool during set up, or do you set up A&A
as it is supposed to be and just make new units able to be purchased? -
What we do is the original setup with the option to buy the pacific/europe pieces later in the game. All the other rules we follow from the pacific/europe books. We do not use the Japanese first attack.

Seems good to me. I use to do the same thing myself. :)

sounds the way to go… but how do you do starting placement???
-
The only setup changes made are the IP and both the Uk and Japan replace either of their bshp’s with a dstr.

i have played this way but i allow each country to place 2 artillery and 1 destroyer where ever they choose aslong as the territory belongs to them
