Pre-order Axis & Allies 1942 Second Edition

The  rules for bidding  is whatever the two sides can agree upon. That said, most here would only allow one unit per territory or SZ and only where one of that nation already exists.
Of course you could have a Carrier, but it could be destroyed before you used it, of course.

I am just curious about the balance….in previous thread I saw a few discussion saying it favors Axis but there are also folks saying the game is balanced without bids… Are any change on the opinion since then?  It seems to me Axis is strong at the beginning (it always is ;-)) but I haven’t play enough to come into any conclusion.

Add another destroyer for the States in sea zone 11.  I believe that should bring it close to balanced.  This will allow the 2 transports to survive putting a lot more pressure on Germany earlier in the game.

Interesting….I would say the other way around. Giving Allies a bid helps then from not getting rolled in 3 rounds. Seriously if you roll unlucky I’ve seen it look BAD on 2nd turn!

UK sending fighters to Caucasus seemed quite helpful to me!
