XDAP - 02 Final Draft (Axis) vs Dairy Qryn (Allies)

Yes of course he scrambles, it is a lone dd, just asking for expedience. Did the numbers on it. Since we are just hoping for two hits, about 1.3% for that. If there is a round to go crazy, this would be it. Russia attacks with 22 inf against 12 inf 2 tank (a battle you win big or lose big with very little inbetween results). If that carrier is dead to french dd or to uk’s air, I won’t get blocked by an Italy carrier and destroyer from taking italy. I am in the mood to go nuts, but I can wait. They are not my countries and I am USA, the country that is supposed to be on standby, till things happen, then it goes nuts.

me and veqryn in a debate over this, but it is not my place to tell him what to do. which is go nuts lol.
-

the next time cow plays france, he is bound to attack a carrier with a destroyer i however, am not going to do this attack and there was no need to ask at all. of course the fighter ‘would’ be scrambled.

It is a tight game still. Income is pretty even.

greece instead of albania… interesting. it is -2 for russia compared to albania cos of NO. but -1 more for axis. interesting thought.
-

Cruiser actually made more sense in 114 this round. It is really hard to coordinate the allies, maybe that is why allies lose in team games so much. axis is easy, they each have their own theater and don’t have to do anything for each other.
-

This two minds stuff is super funny haha. one mind just wants to grab one beer and go. the other mind wants to wait and put things off. like new guinea. one mind is like dang anzac did not take it, wtf. the other mind is like, must wait, chillax bro. Maybe we should split allies by theater, but still uk is both sides and units can move between theaters. Global is slow, just have to accept it. I do like 3-6 bid for allies, regardless of which side I am on, just smooths out an attack for them or gives em a sub somewhere. Either way the number of axis wins compared to allies don’t lie. Plus when you look at the games the allies did win, the axis either a) had no idea what to do b) got diced. You could say the same for lots of axis wins, but in the more competitive games axis won. Think the whole allies should get a bid debate is settled by now. Sorry, DutchmanD your last opponents pretty much relied on a pacific victory… but the japan player tried a bunch of new things, which didn’t work out for him sadly. I was entertained though. This is pretty much a standardish sea lion game. Japan did the right opener knowingly or not to compliment germany. Since bringing usa into war means usa can defend london. The overall game is going as it usually does. Still close game. Alot of stuff happened which was not typical, but overall the outcome is not different from a typical sea lion success game with Japan not declaring war on america. I am surprised at G5. I thought for sure he would force russia out of romania this turn, but this play makes sense. More options for G6 and less options for USA’s buy. Team games are always a trip though, just a matter of time. I will probably do something crazy first.

Regardless of which side you are on, you do have to play different with a team mate in global, and try to match him. I kind of figured sea lion was coming after J1, which is why I brought the naval off of gibraltar. Not a whole lot I can do about it, without giving up on africa/middle east. Italy lost that battle, but he did his job, uk only had a fighter walk out to go back to defend london. Being down two fighters that did not do jack crap in sz 110 and 111 was huge, germany lose 2 subs and a fighter to nothing in other battles, but the results of 110 and 111 made up for it moreso. Considering a typical G1 opener can result in a fighter lost at 111, and a bship sub for 110. He came out on top in a big way. Some games I do no scramble and germany has all his air and 3 subs and a bship left, and uk’s dd and transport that grabs the armor and inf is gone as well. I usually follow my uk rule, which is never scramble on g1, but I saw the italy fighter would typically get 1-2 german fighters down. The other scramble was a gamble for I think 30% chance. Meh it is what it is. Considering I didn’t hit jack crap with those fighters lol. The history has been edited so the game could be played on a new version. I will take a look back to see if I did something wrong on UK1. Maybe passing on ethiopia was better, so I could get more air in range of london. Then he would go barb and have strong italian african play, which would be bad. Considering any good allies strategy requires africa/medit to be handled.

I think trying to stop germany from merging with italy was my pitfal, the double blocker. one more dd to the gibraltar fleet. Either way, it don’t matter, lots of gambling in this game early on, it is just how it turned out. Can’t have much of a results oriented analysis on a series of coin flips and dice results. By the way DutchmanD, you suck and you have no idea what you are talking about. Still an even game, but I am desperately searching for an edge. I am like desperate as hell.

The fighter from malta landed on egypt, could have gone to gibraltar, the tactical would have to be used somewhere else to land on egypt rather than ethiopia, use the mech for ethiopia like usual or ignore it to protect egypt. leave the sub alone in 110 to bring the DD to the 92 fleet. london would have another fighter. italy would have 25% still to sink uk on 92. I run a more secure london, but a big risk of losing africa to italy, through several different avenues. That is what I could have done different. Plus all he would need to do is take gibraltar and then that fleet is screwed. So that pretty much just leaves fighter on morroco instead of egypt. and india would just send 1 fighter to transjordan (in case he tried to take syria and crete). Yeah I coulda got one more fighter for london, meh. Feel free to critique anytime dutchmand. Now back to shooka shooka gamble game.

To see an axis steam rolling over the allies go to allweneedistank’s game. There you will find the allies decimated in europe and pacific. We are not there yet.
-

In reference to Allweneedistank’s game… it’s pretty easy to steam roll the allies, when they basically NEVER fight back - because they’re too busy focusing on falling back. Being creative could have saved both those teams. Teams who lost thier first round match-ups too… Maybe you’ll get the chance to play allweneedistank sometime after this game, ;)

I still got some pot odds plays left. :)
