That only amounted to 2 hits scored, so the bombers WERE calculated after the fighters, despite the fighters being 2nd in the title.
If there’s any ambiguity, the benefit of the doubt should work against me. (I was the one who messed up.) Besides, the sub isn’t that critical to the U.S.'s Pacific strategy anyway.

The dice e-mails list units in alphabetical order in the title, but they list the rolls in order of the attack values of the units involved. The rolls for weaker units are shown first (the destroyer) followed by the stronger units (the fighters).
