You never control a sea zone.
Sea zones are either friendly (contain no enemy surface warship) or hostile (contain enemy surface warship(s)).
The result of a sea battle is that you have cleared it of enemy units (or not).

Yes. That is what it means.

@Rescue55-joe I believe the “10 IPCs for each country” that you are referring to are actually the National Control Markers, which are used to track both conquered territories and national production levels. As barnee pointed out, IPCs are not physically provided, and the Rulebook instructs us to track them on paper, but any proxy (such as Monopoly money) will do. See page 7 of the Rulebook for details on both National Control Markers and IPCs.

In a nutshell, the National Production Track is used to chart your “income” using a National Control Marker. and every turn the “money” goes into your “bank account”, which is represented by IPCs, where it can be spent on new units (or saved for later).

I was kind of coming to the conclusion that Northern Ireland was not connected to SS9 on my own but good to get clarification. Makes sense, due to the way the map is drawn and the fact that you can’t go through neutral territories (Ireland).

@panther Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, I have finished translating the whole rulebook, but I’ll be sure to use if I ever translate the 1940 and 1942 versions. Right now, I’m going to work on the Anniversary version instead, even though I don’t own that version (nor the 1940 and 1942 versions). Thank you very much for your help.

It’s a general concept of every A&A game (at least those on a Global scope, also 1940 Europe and 1940 Pacific).

I do the same with mine.
