    well, i didn’t like the odds when i had 11 bmb, 8 fgt, and you had 4dd in your fleet.
    After you spread out dds and you only got 1 left while i got 2 more fgt, that’s another story… :-D

    I’m guessing you’re not aware Germany can sink the US transports in SZ91.

    Germany could send the Paris fighter to SZ91 and a single unit to SZ110.  Although the odds Germany winning in SZ110 would be miniscule, the possibility of Germany clearing SZ110 means that there’s a chance that the German carrier could pick up the the fighter.

    I don’t know if tripleA is coded to handle that scenario or not … but before I even try, I thought I’d ask how you felt about this rule loophole that allows an almost certain suicide mission.

    Actually, i’m aware of this technique, i’m even using it myself when i can…
    I just didn’t pay enough attention to it in this position. Just checked that Italy couldn’t make any landing spot for Germany and that’s all. So i deserve to have all my transports sunk, just as you deserved to have the Japan fleet sunk because you didn’t doublecheck the odds.

    Now that I think about it some more … France could move a cruiser to SZ91 and reduce Germany’s odds of sinking the US transports to 50% … I probably shouldn’t have said anything  :lol:

    Actually, that makes only a 33% chance to sink both the cruisers and the transports.

    Alright, this is the same as the map I just posted except that I also NCM’d 2 fighters from SITA to Western Germany.

    And that last is final.  I’m not especially happy with it, but I will drive myself crazy running the odds on 1-2 punch battles all over Western Europe and trying to defend everywhere.
