@leemorrison You’re being polite. Yes I got my bomber and some air shot down during the first two turns but I overextended very badly with Japan, mostly because I underestimated the value the tanks would give you in terms of exploiting openings in my positions.

At this stage… Why not!

this one is WAY over.
-
I would agree, but that’s still a painful nut to crack in Moscow for the win.
If he starts building into it and attacking with it, this could take awhile. :P Or if he finds a way to support it.
And where’s the Pacific Win? India’s still got over 20 units hanging around!
There’s no doubt that the income swing is out of control in axis favour, and no there’s no doubt that there’s a 300 IPC Unit Value swing. But SethTheNewb pulled out of a worse predicament in his game, based off the fact the axis still have to achieve the victory.
Do the Brothers in Arms have what it takes? Or is this deal finally done?
-
so the axis must take either MOS or IND to achieve the Victory? Funny, I don’t even know the victory conditions?
-
Well you could take London, WUS, or Sydney instead. :)
-

So you grab and hold one and it’s over….ok, I imagine it is the same for the allies. Grab and hold Germany, tokyo etc…
-
Allies must take Berlin or Tokyo and Axis have to have 8 VCs on EITHER the Europe board OR the Pacific board.
Which means Japan would have to get Sydney or Calcutta without loosing Hawaii.
Russia is 3 turns for this world MAX and I have the resources now to fend off whatever the Brits and Americans throw at me. The flotilla off of England is going to the bottom of the ocean this turn. It’s up to Churchill if he wants the entire RAF to go with it…
…hmmm…that would make it very tempting to take London, what a finish THAT would be…
-
L O L
so the axis must take either MOS or IND to achieve the Victory? Funny, I don’t even know the victory conditions?
I thought you were being sarcastic/sassy!!! LOL… To expand and clarify on Canuck’s post.
The Axis can win by achieving the correct amount of victory cities on either board. (So that’s 2 chances to win)
8 cities on the Europe side, 6 cities on the Pacific side. Then they have to hold said amount of cities until the end of the round.
The Allies win when the Axis gives up, or I belive, when they control 2/3 Axis Capitals. I’ll have to double check.
Also, the Fall of London IS the best course of action for an Axis win at this point. Especially since the Americans neglected to land. at 100 IPC’s a turn… with naval coverage, and some transports already built. There is little that can be done to save London.
I would build up to 10 transports, dump 20 units into scotland, and then go for the 40 unit smash the following turn, with 20 units a turn after that. The British won’t hold. and only MAYBE will the Americans be able to help. The Economic Campaign if the germans use sub raiding too will be brutal.
The hope for the allies at that stage, is a Russian Break out!

Come on Garg! You should know bettr than to fight a war on two fronts! Furthermore isn’t it better to rid the world of those damn communists before moving on to those more amiable northern Europeans? We have sympathizers over there for Christs sake! What’s more, I have always secretly been hoping that the Brits might JOIN us in our conquest… I will give them some more time to mull it over… and maybe even a little incentive.
All available naval units and airforce into the Brit/American Atlantic Fleet!
