fair is just taking the first set of dice rolls and omitting the 3 roll.
Japan made a moosteak and so did USA. It is what it is.
No takesy backsies for units used in combat. No extra unit for a battle after rolls were conducted. No rerolling, just take the first set of rolls. Those are the main principles I care about.
The upsets and craziness of this game is what makes it fun for me. Take that away and I am out.

Sorry Cow, but 1st, I did not roll for my opponent. Not sure why you said I did.
Second, there is no way to both “take the first set of rolls” AND “no takesy backsies”.
That is because the Forum rolls came first, AND the forum rolls were Seth adding the fighter he forgot.
So, either we take the first roll and accept seth’s take back. Or we use the second rolls and don’t accept Seth’s take back.
Or we could use the forum rolls and subtract 1 hit for the USA and also have USA retreat after 1 round.
Or we could just kill 1 of my g-d damned destroyers, and move on.
Using the first set of dice rolls (the forum dice), and then retreating after round 1.

Here are two beautiful options I made.
I am still considering which one to do.
In both of them, my transport off dutch new guinea will die, and probably also my destroyer.
In both, my forces at sz6 by Japan at the end of the turn are enough to take Hawaii on the next turn, unless USA blocks.
If I go with the Australia savegame, obviously he kills my troops in australia, but hopefully I can hurt whatever he sends in after me. It can then turn into a gradual trade of units, which I will win since I have the production advantage (plus he always has to keep something in his capital or a blocker, otherwise i just take the capital). Both my fleets will survive, and I don’t seen much he can do about it other than pump out infantry as Australia, and build more fleet as USA.
If I go with the Hawaii savegame, then I am still in a position to take Australia, but I am in an amazing position to take Hawaii. USA will have to put up 3 blockers around Hawaii and 1 above Australia in order to stop me. However, if he does do the blockers, then I have made no progress towards any goal. Plus, Australia could go behind my defenses and start taking Java islands, etc, and my fleet can’t reach that far if he puts a blocker there.
Either way, it looks like it will be a few more turns til anything happens.

I am not japan, go for pacific win, no one cares about africa, just end this game.
but taking union if it is wide open is never a bad idea. thing is, it only gains us income but does not take any away from allies unless you make it all the way up to the the ruskie spots.
5 PUs if the Allies (not including Dutch) control all of Dutch New Guinea, New Guinea, New Britain, and the Solomon Islands, and is at war with Japan.
why battle in new guinea when new britian is easier?
also where is the fighter in sz 8 landing? the one that is snipin the transport? you filled your carriers and I think it is 2 movement left.
