    OOL, I can speak for veqryn since this is a fight you should win anyways, take the sub as a loss if the cruiser hits then carrier tactical fighter battleship.

    Usually when you have more air than naval subs can be taken before tilts, but it is fine who knows maybe your cruiser hits then sub be taken as a loss anyway.

    How so? Only one hit on that first round. By keeping the sub, that’s an extra shot at 1 next round. And if he’d wiped me that first round, he gets to keep the sub and the bb repairs next turn anyway . . . . So why would he have taken the sub?

    he would take the sub, because you only sent 3 naval pieces that roll at 2s… of course he loses sub that rolls on a 1.

    change OOL to fighter last. forgot france has a battleship.

    because check it out, sub only rolls on a 1 on defense… if japan gets 3 hits you have no more naval, can’t take sub as a loss anymore at that point so why would he keep a sub?

    either way veqryn got lucky in the first round of combat so it is not a big deal, plus your cruiser might end up hitting anyway. who knows.

    actually ok. OOL is battleship last if the sub is still around. fighter last if the sub is dead.

  • Tracking now, but I guess I was sidetracked into saving India and thinking of blocking only. It was a Pyrrhic win for me unless at least the cruiser lived. Killing some Jap units was a plus that I might’ve done anyway, but blocking those transports was key in my mind. And my heart fell out when I only got 1 hit that first round. The Anzacs made a comeback though!  :mrgreen:

    Had to sacrifice a USN CV to kill a IJN CV/BB plus get the block.

    oh if that is the case i might have to change non combat / my buy.

    change my 3 tanks to 3 artillery 2 infantry. place 3 arty novgorod. place 2 infantry on france.

    my noncombat movement to france would just be the 1 artillery, keep the infantry in west germany.

    move 2 tank from east poland to my big stack.
    move 1 tank to archangel since I used a fighter for it. I want my fighter on west germany, because you threaten it much more.

    so nov should have 3 arty instead of tanks. france should have 2 infantry added in placement, the arty there. west germany + whatever infantry that would have been moved to france and the fighter.

    actually there is more to change than i thought because of the whole UK thing. use this instead. lol.

    I just have a fighter from west germ to london. and instead of moving an infantry to france i kept it in west germany.

    you can still hit london but it would be a gamble for the both of us. that is fine.
