OK! I’ll be glad to keep my MED battleship!!

JWW,
The dice email is just to keep people honest.
What you can do, is make a folder in your inbox called DICE, and direct all email from MARTI to that folder.
You’ll basically NEVER see those emails again, unless you want to review dice rolls, which sometimes you will :)

how do you think OOL should be handled?
-
OOL?
-
JWW,
The dice email is just to keep people honest.
What you can do, is make a folder in your inbox called DICE, and direct all email from MARTI to that folder.
You’ll basically NEVER see those emails again, unless you want to review dice rolls, which sometimes you will :)
if the dice system isn’t “flawed” why would you ever review the dice emails? How do you normally handle OOL? I like battle map MUCH better.
-
@Most:
OOL?
Order of loss. How does a player state that they want to lose their DD versus their sub, or bmb vs an inf etc.
During these turns I decide if your ss will submerge or fight on, typically your opponent needs to state what they want prior to you moving ahead.

So are you indeed the Most Holy? or are you being sarcastic?

@JWW:
So are you indeed the Most Holy? or are you being sarcastic?
Quite sarcastic. OOL is something I wondered about myself. Common sense would speed up game time. For instance my US sub at Hawaii would never fight that fight so were I playing Japan I would have submerged it for you. Perhaps that’s personal preference though and not common sense at all. I suppose it would come down to honesty in a big fight say 10 inf, 10 armour, 10 fighters vs same, it would be terribly dishonest to take off the fighters first. Sub situations might be a bit different. perhaps prior to actually conducting combat you would ask on the game thread?

cool, it’s a pretty big deal sometimes.

I’ve gotta take a break the kid just got home from school. I’ll pick up UK2 when I can.

You can save the game at ANY point.
SO for ool, in a battle that matters, or where you don’t think common sense dictates… just save the game, and upload the file, then the other dude can choose.
As for Dice, people can’t cheat BECAUSE dice got emailed to you. Whether you review them or not, is up to you.
Sometimes people forget to click “show dice/turn results” and if I’m at work and don’t have the oppurtunity to check the map, it’s nice to know the results just via email review.
