  • There is a combat calculator build into tripleA. Click ctrl-b on a battle area and the units are added into the battle calculator automatically. 7.29 was the outcome of 2000 simulations so the result may be a little off from the exact number.  :-)

    Thx, that is helpful. What I use gives me probabilities and IPCs lost, but not “units remaining”. I am too lazy to convert most of the times, so this will certainly help me. Had I bothered to check, with a result of 7 I would not have attacked :)

    Oh well……I 100% pressed scramble, but your fighters did not fight. Let me guess, I should have manually clicked how many, right? Just pressing scramble gives default 0 scramblers?
    Will redo whole turn of course, but result was sensational for me, your fleet cannot do worse next time ;)

    I redid the battle, you ended with 4 Figs, 1 CR and the TTs remaining, while I retreated with 1 CR, 2 Fig, 1 Tac and 2 bombers. After that I had to edit a non-combat move and again got this text boxes with every move that seems to prevent the recording of the non-combat moves to the right, and also would not allow me correct my non-combat move error. I saved the game and tried to load from there, but wouldnt let me load.

    I now load the scramble screen, edit in all results and hopefully send you the file in a bit. Really sorry, is there a catch with editing?

    grrrrrrrr. I started from the scramble file I send you. I did another battle just to make editing easier, scrambled three fighters (you unbelievably lost everything, I did not even lose one plane), then wanted to edit in the original result. Worked. But the first non-combat move I did after that immediately gave me this error box again.

    I have no idea on how to proceed right now, other than simply doing all anew and accepting whatever the outcome is. One was very good for me, one was balanced (results see above), and I have no probs with accepting any new result, good or bad, unless you know a better way out.


  • Editing a unit that has moved will cause an error. But you can wait for the next phase to edit that unit. One tip is to always save the game before an edit to make sure you don’t get to much work if an error occur.

    My tip is edit in the battle prior to ncm movement without even having a battle and not moving any of the units that are going to be lost. Then move any “retreating” units to their assigned retreat or landing spots during ncm.
