Originally I thought your Japanese strategy, was to force your hand on New South Wales J3. Whether I attacked or not, you could get the bulk of your ENTIRE fleet off the coast of Sydney.
It was then a pitch battle for the capital, where you could retain an inf or two on 1 tranpsort in reserve, for a J4 assault.
That, or I fully was expecting you to make a dash on Hawaii, and plunk 5 carriers + scramble there. A nye undefeatable defence, which you could support with Subs from japan.
Then I realized, that if you took both, you basically had the game in the bag, and that if I lost Hawaii early, I wasn’t about to be able to get it back anytime soon. And without Hawaii, ANZAC is cut off.
If Honolulu hadn’t been a victory city, I had a cool move that would have seen my troops go to Johnston or Line island with a NB build. But With the Fall of Hawaii possible, and the fact that if you chose NOT to attack J3, I wouldn’t be able to land in Sydney with my bombers.

again, nevr tried this jap “plan”, more of a “wonder what would happen if” kind of plan and was looking for an oporunity…and i think i missed it. maybe if i would of hit USA on J3 instead of non com and only hit UK/anzac? dont know, or maybe if i would have non comed around hawaii instead of near wake and midway. dont know. just a threary i have been wondering. either way, it feels like a REAL bad idea so far.

For whatever reason I had nothing but problems trying to post the American Turn, and then freaking windows update decided to shut my computer down MID combat on the American turn.
I’ve edited everything, and got it all up and running on the attached file.
HOWEVER, I can’t seem to edit 1 point of damage to my battleship off of Java (Your sub hit it on defense).
It probably won’t see combat for a turn and be healed soon anyways… but we need to keep that in mind. I’m asking Veqryn how the edit can be don in the meantime.

actually, i hate to diapoint you…but…i am going to have to concede and admit defeat.
you are a very solid player, i learned a lot from just this one partial game. thanks.
also, i will not be able to participate in the tournement you set up with me and seth as a team; i already let seth know i wont be participating in it.
i hate to admit this…BUT…i feal i owe you at least an explanation…
BUT…i know i have a very compulsive, obsessive and slightly addictive type of personality and playing this game and just the one other game with seth like this is too much for me; all i do all day is think about his game, it consumes my every thought and keeps me up at nights. ont he 1 or 2 face to face game days we have, we start gaming at noon, finish by about midnight and its about 3 am before my mind shuts off enough for me to sleep and than it still takes me a couple of days to stop thinking about the game i played on saturday; this is worse on me. i hate to admit that, and even as i am typeing this i feal like i must sound like a total pussy but…well…thats where the dice roll for me…and i have learned over my life its better to head the dice than try to make them roll what you want.
so, thanks for the game and lesson in how vulnerable italy is and i look forward to maybe atleast debating strategies with you in the future.
