Yes I am curious about the distinction between alliance and ceasefire.

alliance means you defend together so you would need to ally with garg if you want him to defend your capital in future rounds.

otherwise what would happen is, I attack you canuck sir and garg don’t defend. on his turn he can gtfo or attack.

Ceasefire = can not enter each other’s territories, can not attack each other
Open Borders = can not attack each other
Alliance = will liberate allied territories, and can not go straight to war in a single turn
Actually, you can be all 3 and defend together, because “defending” only requires you to be at war with the attacker
in other words, if Player A is at war with Player B and Player C, and Player A attacks a territory containing B and C, he will attack ALL the units of Player B and C together in a single battle.
It doesn’t matter what the relationship is between B and CThe main “advantage” of being Allied, is that you can’t be backstabbed (it takes a minimum of 2 turns to go from Allied to War, because you will have to stop in “Ceasefire” first)

To: Spain and Ottoman, and everyone else, anything more than a ceasefire with prussia or austria, is a declaration of war with france.
I am at eternal war with prussia and austria their allies and open border friends are my enemies. Anyone who assists austria in anyway shape or form goes to eternal war status with france.
Also to everyone playing, if you ask me for a ceasefire that will cost you 1 pu regardless if I accept or not. Those at ceasefire with me, I am willing to pay the money to upgrade our status.

Anyone who contributes to to the demise of players on the Cow’s eternal war list, will be greatly favored upon to win the game. Anyone who defends them upgrades to eternal war status.
The first entry to eternal war was Austria for being a cowardly dog asking for help instead of pulling all forces to defend himself. Second entry to eternal war status was Prussia for accepting.

We can simply all assume you are Allied, then do the deed next turn if that is alright.
So, FYI, next round Austria and Prussia must be allied.
