Landing fighters question

mantlefan is correct.

A&A:Europe subs cannot take hits from airplanes unless the attacking units have destroyer with them.

So attacking AC & 2 subs is really good option, for taking 18ipc boat down and having 50/50 of not losing a plane.

Europe is a smaller scaled land based game. Lots of small provinces. Pacific’s scale is considerably bigger and deals primarily with naval and air power.

I personally enjoy Pacific a lot. It has more strategy than Europe in my opinion. Both are great though.

destroyers only have an attack role of 2 during amphibious assaults.

also to note, if you attack a territory and win, u may NOT move there on non-combat. remember, all combat, non-combat, unit development, and the rest occur at the same time. so u cant land a plane in a place where there is a battle taking place.

for some reason i thought this was only true for aircraft (i.e. runways take a turn to build . . . ).

The rule book answers that question. Subs can be sunk at any time they just chose to run instead of fight back after being fired upon

i’m sorry to say this has to be one of the dumbest questions i have read so far. if a sub has no defense to air planes how in the he!! are they going to attack land. and no torpedos don’t fly. and no there were no ballistic missile subs at the time.

“AA guns in a captured territory may not be moved in the same turn that the territory is captured”
