Yeah, I was Germany/Italy and my Japanese ally opened the ball up in the pacific turn one. This caused the allied player to move out of the med and he spent pretty much 95% of US’s income in the pac. Japan soon was facing an unstoppable fleet but Germany/Italy were thriving. I had a pretty sizable axis fleet and staged it in sz91 with 8 more German trn at sz113. He assumed I was going UK and left Washington pretty open. I had to fight a 60-70% percent battle to land, but I won and the allied player conceded. He could’ve retaken the capital, but Italy was poised to land 6 trn worth of troops before he could build and there was no allied fleet to counter or block.
