@simon33 I think the carrier buy set ghostglider back and might be where the game was won. The naval trade he made there wasn’t worth losing the german fast movers he could have bought and it meant I could stop him for a while at Bryansk. The G4 Dow was in that circumstance, probably the better choice. Had he done a G3, he would have just gotten stuck earlier and lost out on some income.

I was worried at first about the J1. I had looked at Ghostglider’s recent axis games and didn’t see him doing that. And because of the G1 moves, the US had to spend less on the pacific than I normally would early. But I managed to recover. Some better dice mid game helped me out as well. .
