I’m going to make a post at some point after I feel it is “stable” (bug free) enough for the people here at A&A.org to use it.
FYI: there are really 2 things going on,
1. There is the Map file (contains coding [XML] on how the map should work [done by me, veqryn], as well as the art, design, placements, etc for the map [done by bung]).
2. There is the TripleA engine itself, which has to be coded [Java] on how to handle all the xml things in the map file. The engine code is the reason it has taken so long to get Global finished. Almost all of the work for the engine was done by me, but I also had a few other helpers: frigoref, edwin, and qwertgold.
I believe sometime in the next ~2 weeks I will release a “stable” version, of both the TripleA engine and also the Global map.
You are welcome to come try the “unstable” version. Unstable just means there is the possibility that something will not work the way you expect it to. It does not mean it will cause any problems for your computer. Unstable is more like “beta”.
