Naval battle, comes as 75% for Japan (99% low luck). Those can go horribly wrong of course, would be game over for Japan. A Japan win would not kill the Allies.

Trajan, congrats to this battle. I am sorry I made one mistake, not taking your DD after my subs were gone. But I think I am the one that is frustrated, did not manage to get your BB with three air, so even your TTs live. Its only a game, but those are the moments were I think “Diplomacy”.
3. NON-COMBAT MOVES
Both Bombers to FIC
Fleet off India to FIC
2 TT SZ 36 –> SZ 19
4. MOBILIZATION
4 Subs, DD, Fig, AC SZ 19
Arm, 2 Mech India
2 Inf, Mech FIC
5. INCOME
57 (terr) + 10 (NO) = 67
Wow…I can’t believe it, a draw had to be < 1% probability.
I didn’t go through the battle in detail, so I don’t understand your comment on Diplomacy (I’m familiar with the game but have never played).
no dice :)
I love the game, but not many of my friends do.
I really really should have at least got your TTs with ONE piece remaining. This particular game is bad luck from the start :)
GN
Yeah it hasn’t been your game.
I have a bit of a defense for London - I see myself as approx 50% to hold.
But I have a rules question.
If I move the US Sub and Fr DD to z110, how would the battle work?
Assuming you attack w/ BB, CV, DD and 2 Subs, do you have to kill my subs in order to make the Amphib assault? Or could you just make the Amphib over the Sub after you kill the DD?
Allies wouldn’t be coming tonight anyway, too late at work. Will be up tomorrow.
The way this works is that I can safely ignore lone subs as long as I have any warships with my TTs, but that I would have to do a naval battle if there is a DD present, in which case the sub would participate in the combat.
But as for the French DD: Its the same issue with the fighter, in your F8 would the DD really stay in SZ 92? I think the “normal” move would have been to reinforce your other fleets, at least that is what you did so far. And if so, then the DD would not be in reach of SZ 110. Had I not claculated so, I would have had to attack the French DD with my air and land in S-France to make sure he cant reach 110, as I knew it would be the only solution for you other than build your own G9 ship there. ALso, a blocking function wouldnt be neccessary as you would likely destroy the remnants of my fleet anyway.
I agree its very hard now to say what we would have done had G not moved before F. Its for you to judge on how to proceed, but if the DD goes up then a full sea battle ensues.
I agree, I have no idea what I may have done with the DD without seeing G move.
It was my call to move F first…I clearly was oblivious to the threat, so I deserve no countenance! :-)

Still very thrilled to see what you do with UK now.
A few changes to US non-coms:
Sub to z112
TTs from z110 to z117
3 of the 4 Med TTs go to z91, and they drop 3 Inf, 3 Rt in Gib (so 2 Inf stay in Alg and 1 TT in z92)
Rest of Med Fleet goes to z91, incl 1 Ftr (Ftr from the TT attack lands in Alg)
Also, I missed US saved to so 79 total.
