Retreat the bomber. That’s why I hate the lack of low luck rules of some sort. That was ridiculous. By normal odds, I should have taken it with 2 Infantry and a Mech. Instead, you have 4 land units left. That was a 7 unit shift on the front, plus economy and momentum for Italy/Germany.
If you would have kept the Japanese bombers - let me know. I peeled off your casualties based on ability to inflict max damage. We can go back and look at the rolls if we need to.
After a couple games, I really need to introduce you to a relatively easy low luck system that Steve and I use. I have a really hard time accepting crazy dice for either myself or my opponent. It doesn’t reflect strategy, only luck. Yuck. I’ll say it again - this is a strategy game with dice - not a dice game with strategy. A huge difference.
I’m done venting.
I await your decision to scramble in SZ97.
-
Since there is some absurdity about this here battlefield, I’ll go ahead and tempt the fates by scrambling.
-
Ok! I’ll try to be a good, non-complaining opponent… :-)
I don’t blame you for scrambling!

See? That’s what I get for complaining. I had a good round, and it makes me look like a doofus for crying about the dice.
My subs hit the two destroyers, and my destroyer hits one of your fighters.
I lose a sub, and continue on with two destroyers… the subs can’t hit you.
