No. Air units have different retreat rules. They stay in the contested space until noncombat movement, then they move up to their remaining movement allowance (whatever movement was not used in combat movement) to a friendly territory or carrier. Also, air units cannot establish a retreat route for land or sea units.
Question about Tech Tree + Map
-
Hello,
I have(well, had) the Revised version before I lost a bunch of the pieces, so I have just ordered the '42 edition online. I am wondering two things:
-I have heard that the Revised map is better. Is it compatible with the '42 edition?
-I have heard Technology is missing from the '42 edition, and is there a way to use it with the '42 edition?
Thanks for all your help in advance!

The Spring 1942 map has a few small differences to Revised, one of which is that Western Canada can no longer be reached by transports doing a single move from Japan.
You can of course house rule tech.

Yeah, tech is my favorite House Rule for 1942.
