If you want to see some good games (well, at least the ones I have played as I don’t know much about the others) look at the G40 championship game between me and MR. Green (that I lost) or the first game between me and Gamerman (that I won) in the 2012 league.  Those were pretty even fight up to the last couple rounds. Very dramatic as these things go.

Yeah, the Allies did not capitalize on the German single minded focus on the USSR.  Not to mention Japan was rocking too.

Taking Norway and building up the pressure against Germany would have been quite effective with cover from UK Navy. UK provide covers, US provides troops. Japan got out of control somehow as well.

Naval Builds on West Coast for first two turns would have forced Japan to slow down. Then US would switch their attention to build up a large land force in Europe (no need to land and hold, just the accumulation of threat of a large land force in Gibraltar is causing big issue. The airbase in Gibraltar seemed overkill too, I would rather have added a carrier.

Interesting to watch nevertheless.

At the beginning, I thought the Germans were toast. The UK could have become a much bigger threat, by taking Norway for example.

There’s of course, a chance that I could even get favorable dice in Moscow and after risking everything, that would be devastating to Germany (imagine 5 or 6 aa gun hits on the first round, it’s not that unimagineable) - and then you might have to lose planes to take Moscow or retreat.

I need some time to decide however, sorry can’t promise quick moves unless I’m taking the Anzac and French.
