One of the items in our house rules for AA50 (The Chicago Rules) is:

3)  Restricted Dardenelles straight:  Bulgaria is the only territory accessible via transport(s) in sz16

So the Sea zone is still open to ships, but only land accessible to Bulgaria.  Doesn’t remove the sea zone from play, but eliminates the Med drops into Caucasus and/or Ukraine

This is exactly as it should be…  :-D

Hey Krieghound, thanks for the clarification!!  I kinda suspected comabat was a must in that situation, and that was the allied players intent (he was USA).  He wanted to force the germans hand so that the seazone would be clear for UK to utilize their shore bombardment capabilities without being negated by the lingering german fleet.  I will pass along your wisdom, thanks again.

Since Jet Fighters increases fighters’ attack values to equal their defense values in normal combat, I’d say it would do the same in SBRs, allowing attacking fighters to roll on a 2. However, Larry will need to confirm that.

But this is still not confirmed by Larry as I think. Or is it?

While I think the SUBs are much improved over Revised OOTB, I feel they are still to vulnerable and not very cost effective.

Do you know if Sub Detection rules or Convoy Raid type rules were ever considered, either during the development or playtesting phase.  I suppose they may have been considered too complex by either WOTC or Mr. Harris, but I do feel this is the one thing that the game is really missing.
